ORATION PIECE (INTRAMURALS)

“ALLEGIANCE TO SPORTSMANSHIP AMIDST DIVERGENCE”

 Do all good you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can and as long as ever you can. Ladies and gentleman a jubilant day to one and all.

 Today is indeed very enthusiastic to celebrate a new year of sportsmanship, friendship, and hardship. Competitions are going to test our abilities and capabilities, strengths and weaknesses to know if how far we can battle up on things and to testify all our sacrifices and efforts. In every competition, it is essential to know where we belong and what does our heart says like in the Beatrice “Tris” Pierre in the movie Divergent do during the choosing ceremony. With this, you could determine what are the things you are capable of and not and what are your strengths and weaknesses; to unleash your fear, doubt and try to improve yourself. Make your weakness as your strength and your strength as your defense.

 A player or a participant will go through different destinations; to win and stop learning or keep on improving and to fail but keep on learning and try quitting. My dear players winning are not just about receiving medal, trophy or any award; it is how you are able to stand in your worst down fall. I am challenging your to enhance what you already have and what you learn. Performance or what we call the contest day doesn’t matter at all; what does matter is the days you spend to train that really requires time, effort, sacrifice and a strong determination.

Don’t let your first failure hinder you instead make it as an inspiration to be the better version of yourself. Your real opponent is not anyone else but you, yourself. But you are the one battling for what you already have, to stop and to be satisfied or to be eager to go out from what you are used and discover things; you never imagine you could do.

You might fail but the things you are going to gain the experience and learning is priceless. Use what you learn to stand up, to start again, to fill what is lack and to renew yourself.

You are not a loser, incompetent or worthless to your faction; you are still in the mid of developing and keep on progressing. You are just starting for your brighter journey and God is still writing your own story.  Never limit yourself on just one side, go out from your comfort zone, stop all the ranging negative thoughts and don’t be isolated on things; there would always be a room for improvement. Even professionals and the people you idolize on a specific field never stop on learning, improving and enhancing.

Believe in yourself and embody the spirit of sportsmanship. Be fair, be respectful, be optimistic, be eager to learn and be passionate in everything that you do. Remember to never give up easily on things for quitters never win and winners never quit. Never settle for the least but grab for the best. And the most important among the rest is; be as brave as the dauntless, as honest as the Candor; as intelligent as the Erudite; as kind as the Amity and as selfless as the Abnegation and lastly live like a divergent.
